On this page you can follow our training  over a period of four years,, it is really interesting to see what can be accomplished when you establish close bonds with your horses,, one thing missing that is so glaring  is the lack of halters during  most of our training sessions,, most all training is done with a string and voice command except for the first couple of weeks of their lives,, we usually have the young ones in a halter on day one or two no later than day three...

"Rawhide's Runnin Bear " aka. Bear, aka. The Brave One,, seen here meeting daddy Bullseye nose to nose,, they were best of friends till Bear was about 19 months old and had the idea that he could talk stallion talk to one of daddy's mares,, that was the time for immediate separation...

Close bonding with "Mr C.D. Cloud Dancer" aka. Bud here he is 8 days old and melting in my hands like butter while mama Katie is keeping close watch,,, more of Bud to come later...

The "Bear" is 16 moths old in this picture,, coming along nicely in all areas of ground work ,, since this photo he has been to training and learned many more things,, also acquired the nickname " The Brave One" ,,, he has a motor that won't quit,,, he fits right in the description of a perfect gelding...

Taking a nap with "Foggy Morning Bandit "aka. Bandit,, he's 3 days old in this picture,,, a very special colt who unfortunately went to Rainbow Bridge at only 12 weeks old,, he was most special and shall be forever missed...

Spending some close bonding time with a couple of the ladies,, this really helps to establish trust when it's foaling time,, your mares will thank you for having spent time with them in their own special way,, we do not have any moody mares... 

 " Katy's Stormy War Bonnet" aka. Stormy just 3 weeks old and is a real pistol,,, a lot of fun to work with,, a real quick learner who will test your skills if you are not up to speed....

  Here is  Bud again,, really a laid back young gelding,, now learning to be a coat rack,, this guy will be about as close to bullet proof as you can get,, more about Bud later...

Ok  I'm ready for this bull fight,, This is a young mare named "Shesa  Dakota Rebel"  aka. Dakota  a really sweet and smart young lady who now lives at the "Horse Feather Farm" in Paola Kansas...

" Rebel's Shady Lady "  is perfectly happy to listen to her young rider as long as she's allowed to graze,, we can always block out the noise,, and the rider weighs  not much more than a fly...
 

And one more time for "Bud",,, here he is at 19 months old,, strong enough to handle short training periods and smart enough to learn voice and string commands,,, he will be a dream for whoever can pick up and communicate with him...

This  is  "Bullseye"  the laid back stallion,, super trainer of his offspring,, fantastic with children or anyone not used to riding,,,,he's now 8 years old ,, a super ride,, works real well with voice and hand signals,,, look for him down the road,, he's a producer of perfect geldings....

And here is " Katydid Melodie" aka. Katie,, just checking to make sure there is nothing left in the bag,, totally relaxed and she passes all her great features to her offspring,, a perfect combination with "Bullseye" ...

This is " Rebels Nike Woman "  aka. Nike left holding the bag while she eats breakfast,, another fantastic mare with personality to spare,, she is really a sweetheart,, a really smooth ride with very few wet blankets so far,, but a real fast learner...
 Life is good around here when you are free to roam the pasture...

Hey this is really the way to go when it's hot,, nice cold shower,, sure hope this is going to keep happening...

A visit with the boys,, Bear & Bud,, they are both doing great,, Bear has started his 1st year on the trail and loves it,, Bud is ready to go to finishing school,, he's not happy to stay at home when brother Bear hit's the trail..

Yep let's all hang out here and get our feet trimmed...

I do believe I'll just get me a drink while I wait my turn....

The Blackwind Boys,, 'Bear' and  'Bud',, a totally amazing pair of the most people friendly Missouri Foxtrotters you will find anywhere,,, perfect geldings do not come much better than these boys....

 Without a doubt,, using the gentle solutions training method produces great results..

If you can communicate   in a manner  with your horse you both can understand you really will have a relationship that will allow you to ride the bottom of the       .....V.....

Best described  , as when horse and rider becomes one , that is the  V  ....

Only time moves on to the next scene,, memories remain in the heart forever...
