To realize the value of a friend-----------------

----------------all you have to do is lose one...

DREAMS CHARM BOY  "Charm Boy" passed away January 21, 2010 at Black Wind Farm.  He died peacefully of natural causes surrounded by his horse family.  Charm Boy was foaled June 20, 1984 in Wellington, Mo the son of Dream Power (a Missouri state champion) and Shadow's Sun Dawn.  He was a registered Tennessee Walking Horse. His first owner was Sharon Kocent of Blue Springs, he was purchased in April, 1994 by Max Cooper for Mary.  Charm Boy spent his first year with us at the Lake Winnebago stable, moving with us to Drexel in 1995.  He was the last surviving member of the original herd of horses that moved out to Black Wind Farm.  Charm Boy was an excellent trail horse, whose travels took him down trails in Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.  He was the veteran of many week long rides.  Some of his favorite places were the trails at Pineville, MO and Golden Hills. He retired in the fall of 2007 spending his last years happily grazing out back in the pasture.  He leaves to mourn his passing his owners, Mary and Max.  His herd mates, Junior, Eli, Len, Jake, Bear, and Bud.

I will be watching for you at the 'bridge',, until then THANK YOU for your friendship ,, You will be forever missed...

R.I.P. Charm Boy.  Every horse should be so lucky to have lived such a
"charmed" life.

                                     Rainbow Bridge.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,

that animal goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for

all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm

and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and

vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and

strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and

times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for

one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had

to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly

stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager

body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over

the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally

meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the

beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,

so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
